Incidents
I really need to write about this one incident which I saw which really touched my heart.
I study in a college in Mumbai. I hate poverty and like helping people. When I see someone who noone is buying anything I generally try and buy something. It's lots of fun doing that because its invariably food that we end up buying. Next to our college is an old man who sells chocolates. Every time a person buys chocolates for him and talks to him he calls them beta. He speaks to everyone with respect and even though he is so poor he usually gives away chocolates for free when the person doesnt have enough money.
However one incident really touched my heart. Although he is so poor, with a wife and a small son to support, he walks up everday to an shop, buys milk and feeds it to stray dogs.
It gets me thinking that its better to be poor, because the poor people next to my college, are most trusting then the tichest people in my college. They think nothing of giving free food to the students, or xeroxing papers for free.....

yeah...i'd feel sorry for him too
and another thing is that you make claims which you can't prove... just because you don't see someone helping another person, doens't mean he doesn't...
The concept of economic heirarchy is important in this urban india... we need rich people to give poor people jobs... that's how the country is slowly progressing... I understand your sentiment, but just to expand your knowledge... everyone on this planet is compassionate... they do good things in their own unique way... So be at peace... this world will change much sooner than you expect!
its good to see that you are able to find out some rare but very important facts and true meaning of life , in such simple day to day life....
