Green, White, Nasrite
This entry is for Nasr school, where I spend the best years of my life, made the most loyal friend and captured the most memorable moments. This entry is from my heart unlike the previous entries which were from my head.
To people who do not know Nasr it is probably just an all girls school where girls bitch about each other, no one bursts crackers and the girls throw themselves at boys. But that is not how Nasr looks to an insider.
To an insider, to me Nasr stands for respect. The teachers there absolutely respect the students and the bond formed between them is that of friendship. The care about us as individuals rather then as brains absorbing what they throw at us.
Nasr means respecting our school and not destroying that we have by turning it into a garbage can by littering it. We dont destory our property by bursting crackers and also try and contribute to saving the environment by our little actions.
The littlest of duties is carried out by us as we ring the bells, serve the cheif guest at our functions etc. To the others it may seem a degrading task but to us, it means responsibility.
The bond between the seniors and juniors is unlike that at HPS. Here, they can be the best of friends. Yet when the seniors execute the duties the juniors do not raise an eyebrow and respect the decsions of the seniors.
And ever since we enter middle school, it becomes a nasrites dream to be a prefect or captain. To have that one blazer, that one badge that sets them apart from the rest of the nasrites. This dream remained unrealised.
And all I can say is
I am a green
I am a white
I will always always remain a Nasrite.

That's a lovely tribute to your friends, and you old school. I am surprised as to how quickly you have attached yourself to your blog, it took me months to do that... And the fact that you use it as a memoir makes it so much fun to read...
You should keep writing, and this is not just a vague compliment, its the truth, I don't think I now know anyone of our age who can write their emotions as well as you can...
you ahve certainly matured as a writer, I hope you have a lovely christmas and a happy new year,
